The Manama skyline has seen rapid development over the last two decades, benefiting from regional and international investments into the business-friendly climate of the Kingdom of Bahrain. As the real estate architecture in the Kingdom evolved, The Bahrain World Trade Center (BWTC), designed by the Architectural firm Atkins and Architect Shaun Killa, has remained an iconic landmark on the city’s waterfront. Inspired by traditional Arabian wind towers, the BWTC is a beacon built to global standards in sustainable architecture. Since its inception, BWTC has set a technological precedent and is recognized as the first skyscraper in the world to have integrated wind turbines designed to help reduce the overall power consumption in the building. The BWTC takes advantage of its central location, harnessing the sea breeze, and can generate up to 15 percent of the office tower’s electricity needs. With its award-winning state-of-the-art design and status as Bahrain’s first “Intelligent Building’’ BWTC continues to inspire new standards in sustainable building and renewable energy solutions that have become an essential component of future design.

The BWTC has been the recipient of several prestigious awards, such as the Green Building Award by Leaf Awards in 2006, for its excellence in the international architecture, design, and build professions. The Edie Award for Environmental Excellence in 2007, and the Tower Project of the Year Award at the Construction Week Awards in 2008.

BWTC also received the ‘Sustainability Award’ by BEX International Awards in 2008 for sustainability, innovation, efficiency, and collaboration in the built environment. Among its accolades are also the ‘Best Tall Building Awards’ in the MENA region, the ‘Innovation Nova Award’ by the Construction Innovation Forum (CIF) in 2009 and ‘Best Use of Exterior Lighting’ at the Palme Middle East Awards 2010.

The strikingly beautiful BWTC is a world-class business epicenter, home to some of the most reputable organizations across the region and the world. Its SMART design offers a sophisticated atmosphere with astonishing views, high-speed panoramic elevators, and stylish contemporary interiors, making it extremely popular amongst prominent local and international businesses. BWTC offers premium office spaces with unparalleled security and efficiency in office management, becoming the ideal setting for business establishment and expansion.
The Bahrain World Trade Center is proud to be a part of the World Trade Center Association and has links to over 750,000-member organizations worldwide and 300 World Trade Centers across the globe. As part of the association, tenants of the BWTC can leverage an established business network from an internationally recognized location and stimulate commercial growth on a local, regional, and international scale.

As Bahrain’s most recognizable and prestigious development, the BWTC continues to shine its light in raising awareness for various global initiatives that affect society and the health and wellbeing of humanity. The iconic landmark transforms the night sky, lighting up in different colors to show support of important causes such as Breast Cancer Awareness Month, World Cancer Awareness, Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, Domestic Violence against Women, Early Breast Cancer Detection as well as Autism and Epilepsy Awareness and once a year the lights switch off in partnering with World Wildlife Fund (WWF) for Earth Hour.

Adjoining BWTC is the stylish MODA Mall, featuring magnificent interiors and elegant aesthetics – from the cool marble floors to the huge glass-domed roofs which flood the mall with natural light and is home to the largest portfolio of high-end brands. Fashion lovers are spoilt for choice with the latest and most trendy collections available, from haute couture to ready-to-wear designs by globally renowned brands including Dior, Hermés, Fendi, Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Bottega Veneta, Dolce and Gabbana, Valentino, and Versace to name a few.

MODA Mall’s selection of stores is extensive, with a selection of exquisite and timeless jewelry and watches available at Cartier, Audemars Piguet, Tiffany & Co., Bulgari and Patek Phillippe amongst many others. MODA Mall further has a multitude of specialty stores including perfumeries, florists, chocolatiers, accessory, luggage and gift stores. Located on the exterior of the mall visitors can park and test drive the latest vehicles on display with Alfa Romeo, Lotus, Morgan and Aston Martin.

An array of delicious dining experiences further awaits the most discerning of palates with numerous choices of quality restaurants and cuisines from Japanese, Turkish, Middle Eastern, Mediterranean, and Brazilian/Asian inspired Vegan food. Visitors can further unwind and enjoy specialty drinks surrounded by vertical gardens in the outdoor dining courtyard. Both MODA Mall and BWTC benefit from ample parking services that provide hassle-free accessibility.

The iconic towers are adjacent to the landmark five-star Sheraton Bahrain Hotel which is currently under renovation and undergoing an exciting transformation which reveal an upgrade in both top-of-the-line features and services for visitors, ensuring a perfect blend of lifestyle and business in one convenient location.

Looking to the future, BWTC hopes to move ahead of the times by offering exemplary solutions to the evolving landscapes in the business and retail sector. With the towers located in the heart of Manama, the BWTC and MODA Mall are close to major ministries and have direct access to the neighboring GCC countries by air, sea, and the King Fahad Causeway, linking Bahrain to the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia.

An architectural wonder in the global arena, BWTC provides you with world-class amenities and aims to further contribute to Bahrain’s economic development with a perfect blend of lifestyle and business, in one convenient location.
